Skeletal Disorders Panel
Skeletal Disorders Panel
The Skeletal Disorders Panel analyzes genes that are associated with conditions affecting the skeletal system. These are genetically heterogeneous disorders characterized by abnormal bone or cartilage development or growth. The genetic heterogeneity associated with these skeletal conditions can make it difficult to use phenotype as the sole criterion to select a definitive cause. Broad panel testing allows for an efficient evaluation of several potential genes based on a single clinical indication. Some genes in this test may also be associated with non-skeletal disorders, which are not included in the list of disorders tested.
This is a customised genetic test that can be ordered by a physician/healthcare provider after a preliminary diagnosis.
